Nowadays, the weaving activity has more than just touristic value, it has economic value in the region of "Alentejo".  The aesthetic nature and decoration of these products is valued and not its mere use, undoubtedly it would not have this evolution anywhere else, in which the artisans of the region of "Alentejo" have contributed by introducing new material, motives and colour and with the preoccupation of making it more beautiful.
